Resolve reinvents the very shape of systems furniture. Gone are right-angled, panelled cubicles. They are replaced by versatile and inviting workstations made of 120-degree angles. Resolve creates a feeling of space, allowing air and light to travel more freely. People can see each other and therefore they interact. Resolve is the shape of things to come.
Features and benefits
Steel poles provide hang-on capability and easy access to power and data delivered from a system of overhead trusses. This simple, lightweight infrastructure makes installation and reconfiguration faster.
Resolve provides 6-circuit, 10-wire power and generous cable capacity.
Fabric screens and canopies define space and modulate privacy without using solid walls.
120-degree angles allow planning flexibility and many levels of enclosure.
The geometry uses space economically without sacrificing openness and comfort.
Clear sight lines help keep communication flowing.
The vocabulary is a quarter the size of most systems, which makes it easy to plan, specify, and order.
Components support all kinds of work and give users more control over their tools and spaces.
Resolve uses less material to do more, delivering high performance affordably with environmental responsibility.
Design story
Herman Miller and designer Ayse Birsel saw the sweeping changes in people, work, and technology as a great opportunity to re-examine the work environment and resolve critical issues.
The result of this inquiry is the Resolve system. Resolve isn't an evolution of panel-based products. In fact, there are no panels at all.
The elegantly simple structure is based on poles with screens attached at 120-degree angles. This inventive approach provides all the intelligence and function of panels while allowing greater diversity of workstation patterns, as well as more efficient use of materials and space. There's also more openness and flexibility for collaborative environments.
Resolve's human scale and ease of use reflect its fundamental design principle: It all starts with the person, giving each worker the tools and capabilities to be more comfortable, connected, and effective.
